Two styles
Light or dark, in orange
Route Frame's standard styles, with the route in the marathon's orange. Both posters were made with the editor — so it works with your route too.

02 · Dark A dark city map on which the orange route and the river Maas stand out.
42.195 km through Rotterdam
From the Erasmus Bridge to the Coolsingel
The Rotterdam Marathon is run every spring, in April. The course is flat, which according to the organisers makes it one of the fastest marathons in the world. Runners start at the foot of the Erasmus Bridge, head towards the Kop van Zuid and finish on the Coolsingel, where the crowds stand rows deep.
On a map the route is instantly recognisable: the Maas splitting the city in two, the bridge you cross twice and the loop around the Kralingse Plas. Add your own time and it becomes your marathon — whether it was your first or the race where you dipped under four hours.
The organisers publish the course as a GPX file every year; the example posters on this page were made with it. For your own poster, your own activity from Strava or Garmin works best, because it shows exactly the line you ran. If you don't have it, the official file works too.

Frequently asked questions
-
Can I make a poster of my Rotterdam Marathon?
Yes. Export your activity as a GPX file from Strava or Garmin Connect, upload it and pick a style. You download a print-ready PDF.
-
Can I use the official course?
Yes. The organisers publish the course as a GPX file on their website every year, on the courses page. The file has no elevation and no real times, so enter your own time in the editor.
-
The official file has no elevation. Where does the profile on the examples come from?
For the examples, the elevation was added from a public elevation map. If you upload the GPX from your own watch, the elevation is already in it. You can switch the elevation profile on or off in the editor with a single checkbox.
-
Can I choose a different route colour?
Yes. The examples use the marathon's orange, but in the editor you choose the route colour yourself, including a custom colour, and whether the poster is light or dark.
-
Can I give it as a gift to someone who ran the marathon?
Of course. Ask for the GPX file, or use the official course, and put the runner's name in the title and the finish time in the subtitle. You get a PDF that you have printed and framed yourself.
-
Is Route Frame affiliated with the Rotterdam Marathon?
No. Route Frame is an independent poster maker. The colours on this page are a nod to the event; we do not use logos or official imagery.
Ready to frame your Rotterdam Marathon?
Upload your GPX. The title and subtitle are already filled in — add your name or your finish time.
Opens the editor with a real 151 km ride through South Limburg. Everything is editable, and you can still upload your own GPX afterwards.
Route Frame is not affiliated with the NN Marathon Rotterdam or its organisers. The example posters use the 2026 course as published by the organisers, with elevation from a public elevation map and the numbers of a fictional finisher.
